Chile: Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano Erupts

Chile:  Home to more than 3000 volcanoes, 80 of which are active, residents were shocked by a sudden volcanic eruption.  The Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano of Chile erupts after 450 years of dormancy.  It is now closely being monitored by the Chilean government, alerting nearly 4,000 residents to evacuate the danger zone.  Located south of Santiago, capital of Chile, Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano posts potential medical and threats once the wind changes its direction.  It may carry ashes across neighboring such as Andes and Bariloche.



San Carlos De Bariloche is located just 100 km east of Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano.

Officials are now in full alert, monitoring the situation.  Medical attention is now at its full blast.
