We all know that countries whose native tongue is the English language will undeniably be able to express themselves more spontaneously in English. They, too, are lucky to be given more opportunities than the rest. Even the not-so-good writers share the same benefits. They have the freedom to choose which sites to write for. As a matter of fact, they are even paid more than other writers in neighboring countries, such as Asia.

In more than 2 years of writing articles online, I have noticed that there are a lot of good writers from countries in Asia. Yes, while it’s true that there are a lot of newbies who still need more practice in their writing skills, I hope these writing sites welcome good writers in Asia.

Philippine Culture in GMA 7's AMAYA

Thanks to GMA 7, Philippine prime-time shows offered something new to the Filipino viewers. This time it talks about the Philippine culture that would capture not just the younger generations but Filipinos of all ages.

Not to deny, there were a lot of canned shows with good plots, Boys Over Flowers as my personal favorite. There were also those that are high in Fantasy. However, what lessons are we teaching our Filipino viewers with these types of shows, especially the young ones? Aren't we teaching them not to embrace the Philippine culture?

Let us ask ourselves when did this K-Pop thingy came about? Many of them go crazy over K-Pop fashion and stuff. Even how hard they try to do so, they look trashy. Of course, look at the type of fashion they wear. Most of it were meant for the cold weather of Korea. I pity these children, seeing them sweat underneath those garments. Anyway, that's just one of the results I have observed with Korean Novelas invading Philippine television.

Secondly, with fantaseryes, we are teaching children to be escapists. That whenever they encounter problems, there's Captain Barbel, Darna, and other super heroes to save them.

On my way to work every night I get to watch Gma 7's Amaya. At first I said to myself, okay I'll watch this because I didn't have a choice anyway. I must entertain myself throughout my almost 2-hour travel. Good thing almost all the drivers chose Gma 7's Amaya.

First of all, the plot was interesting. It's like studying Philippine culture in a story format. There were native terms borrowed from the Visayas and Mindanao. I'm not sure if the plot itself was from Visayas or Mindanao because in Visayas, as far as I can remember, there were no Datu and Rajas. I'm sure these characters were taken from Mindanao. Meanwhile, the term "ulipon" was familiar to me, so I would say this was Visayas. As an ordinary Filipino viewer, with no expertise in Philippine culture, I would say that they collaborated different beliefs of the Filipinos from Luzon, Visayas and Minadano.

Production design was also very grandiose. The premier of Amaya alone involved a huge casting, extending its production into the sea. There were large boats, exactly how I pictured it out based on my high school text books. Meanwhile, costumes were very detailed that registered very well on television.

I am yet to look forward to more of Marian Rivera. In this epicserye, she really is stunning. I am sure Filipino viewers will agree with me. I just hope she would tailor-fit her manner of speaking to her role, a Filipina so reserved. I really find her very pretty in GMA 7's Amaya. I hope she can justify not just a very promising role in this epicserye, but the production that is extravagantly fabulous.

I think this is the first time Cebu Pacific offers a 0 fare to travel domestic and international destinations. Good news to Philippine Department of Tourism, this kind of initiative, coming from a private sector, can surely boost local tourism in the country. Plus of course, it is now more affordable to travel international destinations, which can hopefully translate to better business relationships with neighboring countries in Asia.

The Cebu Pacific 0 Fare started yesterday. Sorry for being a day late to blog on this but their promo states until seats last. Let's just hope there are still seats available especially the ones for international destinations because this surely is a big savings for Filipino travelers.

However, if you are not able to book a flight, don't be dismayed. Cebu Pacific and other airline companies offer promos left and right on their domestic and international destinations.

Chile: Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano Erupts

Located south of Santiago, capital of Chile, Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano posts potential medical and threats once the wind changes its direction. It may carry ashes across neighboring such as Andes and Bariloche.

San Carlos De Bariloche is located just 100 km east of Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano.

Meralco Bill Soaring High!

Earth oh Earth! Aren't we supposed to be in the rainy season here in the Philippines? Why is the weather still scourging hot? As I write this post, time here is now at six o'clock in the afternoon and still I can feel the hot weather outside.

The only solution is, as always, turn on the aircon and hope to alleviate the hot weather. True enough, I feel so relaxed while feeling sad somehow. I surely know the effect of my actions. In fact, I already felt the effect of my daily habit. Our Meralco Bill came the other day and... Gosh! I've seen a 50% increase in my Meralco Bill from last month's. Last month I was already consistently using the aircon. Now, I'm thinking; does this really happen everytime? That, whenever we receive our April Meralco bill, it's really soaring high.

I'm sure everyone will agree with me that their Meralco bill for the month of April showed a drastic increase, too. Poor consumers! I just hope no corruption is taking place in Meralco because it is really so hard to accept that we are paying for a consumption that is not solidly ours.

Meanwhile, I would like to make a request to all consumers. Let us help one another in conserving energy. Let's help restore mother earth. I would like to be positive; I'm sure there's still a hope in this situation. I can't help but sigh though.

Suicide Tourism... For Real?!

Have you ever heard of Suicide Tourism? Well, for some this may be the first time they’ll hear this term. This basically means that if you want your suicide plans to be administered by someone, with your consent, you may visit these countries because assisted suicide is legal. Families of terminally ill patients may consider Suicide Tourism for an assisted euthanasia. Surprisingly, this subject matter is dormant in many countries. There are no unique laws covering the stand of the government on Euthanasia and other assisted suicide cases.

The two most popular countries that offer assisted euthanasia are Mexico, and Switzerland. In Mexico, they use pentobarbital to facilitate euthanasia. Originally this drug was used to end the lives of animals. It was later used administer painless death to those terminally ill patients. Pentobarbital can result in a painless death within one hour from the time the drug is introduced to the body. Sadly, reports say that pentobarbital is not a controlled drug in Mexico, so those people may simply want to have a painless death, can easily get a hold of this drug. Thus, there are so many cases of suicide; non-ill patients take place in Mexico.

Meanwhile, in Switzerland, Article 115 of the Swiss Penal Law would state that assisted suicide to terminally ill is legal. For those whose interest is unjustifiable, purely selfish reasons to end their lives, this then is a crime. This law is not only limited to doctors, some approved private organizations are allowed to administer accompanied suicides for as long as the person himself plays a major role in the act. What made this law even more unique is that it allows non-Swiss nationals to avail this kind of service.

For instance, Dignitas, a private group in Switzerland that offers assisted suicide services. They were able to find legal ways to administer assisted euthanasia not just for terminally ill patients.

On the lighter side, Dignitas seriously counsels their clients to choose life over death whenever possible. The said company aims to achieve more successful suicide attempts because of their assistance in the act itself. This is their answer to the growing numbers of unsuccessful suicide attempts in Switzerland, recording an average of 66,850 cases each year, bringing inflicting emotional traumas and long-term physical impairments to these individuals.

How do they facilitate accompanied Suicide? A highly lethal drug is diluted in water and the patient is asked to drink it. Minutes later the patient would asleep, leading to a peaceful death.

This is a story that a friend of mind shared with me on my Facebook account.

There was a young mother, carrying her little child. She went to her ob-gynecologist and asked for an advice. She was pregnant again and wouldn't want a baby anytime soon. The young mother asked for the doctor's recommendation. As a matter of fact, she would like the doctor to end the life of the baby inside her. "Please help me doctor, you're the only one who can do this for me. I don't want to have this one. I'm not ready." the young mother said.

The doctor became silent for a few minutes. Then, he offered a better suggestion that the young mother might want to consider. "Would you like us to end the life of the one you are carrying instead?" The doctor uttered these words with so much excitement in his face. "This is the best way to deal with this. You are only ready to take care of one child, so, it doesn't matter whom we pick- right? At least you don't have to experience any risk on your own life."

Shocked by the doctor's idea, the young mother without a doubt, made an objection to the doctor's idea. "No doctor! I can't let you do that. That is a crime. I can't kill a child." The doctor made a deep sigh upon hearing this. "That's exactly what I want you to realize. That life in your womb and the life you are carrying with you now, doesn't make any difference at all. You kill the one in your womb or you kill the other one; either way is a crime. "

The young mother suddenly turned red and embarrassed by what she had offered the doctor to do.

May this be a lesson to all young ladies out there. Undeniably when you do the act you sometimes are carried away by your emotions. You don't think about the consequences of your actions. Just imagine how fortunate you are that your own mother embraced your life while she carried you for nine months, took care of you every step of the way. Don't you think it's just but fair that you too should give that life in your womb the chance to live as well?

No More Adsense Hold

I'm sure it's not only me who had problems with Adsense Hold a few days ago. I spent almost three hours the other day trying to determine what really caused the hold. It says my information does not match any Mexican State. Well, of course, it will never be because I am in the Philippines.

Impulse said I have to research for answers. Good thing one of the topics in Google's discussion says something about a bug on the site regarding Adsense Hold. That, the Mexican State prompt was after all a bug and Google is in the process of fixing all those accounts who had Adsense Hold that was triggered by the Mexican State prompt.

Finally, today when I attempted to change my Adsense payment details I have successfully changed it, removing the Adsense Hold on my account.

Now, it's time for me to work hard because I am certain I will be reaping the fruits of my labor soon. To all you guys who were hit by the Adsense Hold, it's about time to rejoice. Start changing your Adsense payment details cause it's party time.

Meet Elle Beatrice- Our Bundle of Joy

Hi everyone!

I've been gone for a long while now. I think pregnancy somehow made me so lazy to write and update this blog. I've been busy looking after our little bundle of joy, our baby girl.

Meet Elle Beatrice! She was born November 12, 2011. She's so cute right? I think every mother would feel the same way. We can't help but become obsessed with our babies. She'll be turning 5 months old tomorrow and I adore every new things she learns everyday.

Last Saturday I had a chat with them because I am here in Cebu. Gosh I miss them so much. A few more days and I'll be back. I can't wait to give my little bundle of joy a hug. I miss her daddy, too.

Today is papa's birthday. I hope papa Lloyd will always have good health and may we have happy times always. I'm sure there will be challenges in the future in our family. I pray to Father God that we may be able to surpass them all. I know Father God will because we are God-fearing individuals.

I lost my Working Pinoys blog

I know I haven't really updated this blog for months now. First off I didn't have much time to write and maintain this blog anymore, but I know I will eventually come back and start filling this out with fabulous content.

I just want to take a moment of silence while I mourn for the loss of my other blog. I have invested so much time in Working Pinoys, updating it with content worth reading. However, to my surprise, blogger detected it as a site that promotes spamming. I know for a fact that they are wrong. All I wanted to do was provide income opportunities for those people who would like to maximize their income opportunities while using the internet. I searched for answers- why...why.

Finally, I discovered I wasn't alone. I wasn't the only one who had a bad dream. Some of my friends in mylot had the same experience. They told me that blogger and google didn't like blogs that talk about adsense, ways on how to get more traffic, or any topic that could potentially disclose the algorithm of their system. I didn't mean that you know. What I wanted to share are ideas that could make them earn passive income online.

Now, my plan is to realign this blog. I will be posting some of my online stints here as well. I am into writing articles for websites that do pay per page view. I am happy to say that with blogger deleting my other blog, I made new discoveries that even paved way for more passive income online. I just hope google will spare me with this one; I hope they won't delete this blog because I pity those people who are hungry for ideas and hungry for opportunities. When the nurses and doctors witnessed Maria's heroic act, they right away re-evaluated her.

"It looks like Maria's back in her right senses now. She knows what's the right thing to do. I think we should release her now," one of the doctors suggested.

So, the next day Maria finally got the news.

Doctor: Maria I have one bad news and and one good news for you. The good news is, you can now go home. Because of your heroic act of saving John, we have realized that you are now able to determine what's right and what's not.

Maria: Oh, that's nice to hear.

Doctor: The bad news is, your best friend John died.

Maria: Why? (sounds sad and worried)

Doctor: He used his belt to hung himself.

Maria: Oh yeah, I hung him to dry.

FYI Guys, on March 27 from 8:30 to 9:30 everyone is requested to join Earth Hour 2010. What is requested of us is very simple; let us not use electricity for one hour. Let's turn off our lights and other electrical gadgets.

Why do we have to do this? This is just to remind everyone that global warming has caused us so much trouble these days. Weird natural calamities destroy properties and even took lives. There's no one to blame but us. Slowly from one generation to another, we have somehow contributed in the destruction of our mother nature.

I remembered watching the success of Earth Hour 2009. I almost dropped a tear as a watched everyone across the globe participate in this momentous event. I'm sure with the success of Earth Hour 2009, it will even be more successful this year, as most of us are now aware of it.

Let's support climate change. Let's participate in Earth Hour 2010!

And The Winner Is... ME!

The other day I wrote an article in regard to my application as a Product Trainer. At first I was hesitant to apply but finally decided to give it a try. Well, it looks like that experience was worth the try because I wasn't just an experience after all.

It has in fact become an opportunity entrusted to me. The winner is ME...I GOT THE POST! I am now a Product Trainer (in training). For all positions in our company, except agent level, we should undergo the in-training phase. This will take 3 months to have our monthly base pay adjusted.

I know the responsibilities that I will be facing are no joke at all. The department that I was previously assigned in is the most challenging. If we are able to elevate our ever struggling stats, I'm sure more opportunities will come our way.

Talking about opportunities, I am so grateful that my people and the people above me never get tired of believing and trusting in my abilities. When I talked to my agents, announcing to them my promotion, they had mixed emotions. They are happy for my growth, but I can feel that they really are sad with me leaving the team. The smiles in their faces are enough affirmation that I was a good coach to them, although I was just with them for almost two months. Who wouldn't be- I was able to bring the team to the number 1 spot. (wink) I just hope they continue to perform even though my assistance will no longer be exclusive to them.

Meanwhile, the intriguing part, Iwas informed that I wasn't everyone's bet. The other trainers didn't like me. They liked the other applicant. Unfortunately for her, I nailed my final interview. With the creative ideas I've presented and the overflowing plans I wanted to implement, the panel came to a unanimous decision. They even told me that they didn't deliberate anymore because everyone was in agreement.

What is the moral of the story here?

1. When applying, SELL SELL SELL YOURSELF!

This is one lesson I've learned when I first applied. My theory was, if you like me, then choose me. I'll just tell you who I am, and it's your job to decide. That was a wrong strategy indeed. Thus, when I applied as a Coach, I really made it a point that I shouldn't take NO for an answer. I should be the perfect position for the said post. It worked! Using the same strategy, I once again reigned, getting the Product Trainer position.

2. PASSION is the key

I love the account I am working for, no doubt about it. That's why my ideas are overflowing. When I presented my plans, they saw the twinkle in my eyes. They saw the excitement.

3. People Skill is a must

Understand what your people need, connect with them. This way, even if you'll leave them, you are proud to say that you have somehow touched their lives. That, if you're gone, what they'll talk about you are just good things.

I know there is no exact formula to success. As for me, this one formula works all the time:

The Trainer Position

As I write this article today, I am faced with a challenge that can make a major impact in my career. I just hope I am making a practical move, as I submit my application for the trainer position.

I am really confused. I can't deny it; I'm happy with my current position as a Product Coach. It is so rewarding. I like the feeling when I get to see my agents perform. I like to see my agents progress everyday. Imagine you are able to make non-performing agent perform or a notorious agent reforming; so fulfilling, right?

Meanwhile, what's good about being trainer? Hmm, it is recognized anywhere, regardless of the industry you belong. In the call center industry, a trainer's position is a prestigious responsibility to emrace. Although it may be very challenging, witnessing your previous trainees grow and seeing them move up the ladder, I'm sure this is enough experience that can make a trainer's task fulfilling.

I just have one hesitation. I am not an expert with those presentation techniques that trainers do on a daily basis. Imagine being asked to create a module or a presentation due in 2 hours, I don't know if I will be able to accomplish that, geee! I don't have any problems with the content; I can compete with them. I think I'll be spending half of the time deciphering how to layout my presentation.

Anyways, I just hope they'll give me a chance. I hope I'll get the position. If they'll entrust me the position, I guess that's the time I'll cross the bridge. I'm sure Mr. Youtube won't fail me with How-Tos I need to learn, particularly those Powerpoint Presentations and Module-making.

On My Way to Work

A month ago my schedule was changed, requiring me to go to work at 2 AM in the morning. I have mixed emotions when going to work everyday. First, I have to worry about my safety; second, I have to worry for my prompt arrival; third, I have to worry about my trip as I ride the jeep.

Although on a daily basis, when I get out of my house I see bystanders hanging around, talking amongst each other, I still get paranoid by their presence. I ask myself are they selling prohibited drugs or are they high on marijuana. Most often than not, the most obvious reason I get based on observation is that they're having a drinking session.

Well, I still have all the reason to be scared right? Once in a while we hear stories about call center agents killed on their way to their office. Knock on the wood! I'm sure my guardian angel is seriously doing his task of guiding me safe as I go to work everyday.

Here's the funny thing, my husband attached a whistle on my ID. I asked, what's this for? He said, "if you get hold-up all you have to do is whistle to get attention from other people, so they'll rescue you." Thus, everytime my co-workers would ask me about the whistle attached on my ID, and they hear my explanation, they can't help but laugh. "You have a point," they say.

Meanwhile, the challenge I always get everyday is my 'almost' late arrival everyday. You know what, I am tempted to just call MGE taxi to fetch me. Big but is- it would be expensive to ride a taxi every night- heller!

Lastly, I have to worry about my trip. Last night was the fastest trip I ever had while riding a jeep. The fastest record I had in the past was 7 mins. Last night was amazing; from Guadalupe, it took the driver just 3 minutes to reach Buendia Makati Ave. Good because I need not rush to log-in immediately. I still had the chance to comb my so tangled-hair. Meanwhile, the trip early this morning made me pray the Angel's prayer 3x. It really got me scared to death. Important lesson I learned: I have to pray more consistently.

That was a reality bite on my end. That, we really have no control over the things around us. Even we do the extra mile to be careful with our actions- for the sake of our safety, some people just don't care. That's why in just a snap of a finger, lives may be lost. I learned my lesson, I hope others realizes this, too.

Probably some or all of the same thoughts run through the mind of many dieters. If a dieter is plagued by such thoughts they are already defeated. To lose unwanted pounds and maintain proper weight, one must be willing to exchange unhealthy eating and fitness habits for habits that promote a healthy lifestyle. Keeping the focus on creating a healthy lifestyle rather than on losing weight will increase your chance of success in changing your eating habits.

The following suggested tips do not require you to purchase expensive foods, equipment that you will use a few times or have a strong will power; but a vision and commitment to yourself to make the necessary changes for a healthier lifestyle.

1. Drink more water. We have heard it a thousand times. Hereâ��s a thousand and one. Drink more water! I know what health professionals are saying, â��we consume water from other source such as beverages, fruits and vegetables, etc.â�� This is true. But being real with yourself, do you really eat enough fruits and vegetables to meet the daily requirement for water. How much should you drink every day? It varies due to oneâ��s weight, physical activity level and other factors. The average amount is 8-10 glasses per day. Torino Lightbourne along with his accomplice Pleasant Bridgewater pleaded not guilty despite the evidence from Travolta’s attorney Michael McDermott who earlier conversed with Pleasant Bridgewater, secretly recording their conversation. McDermott played as if the Travolta family is willing to pay him in staggered terms, to pay $10 million in four years. Finally, when Lightbourne and Bridgewater agreed on this amount, according to McDermott, Bridgewater is set to email him the instruction on how the money will be wire-transferred.

With the recorded evidence, Torino Lightbourne and Pleasant Bridgewater will surely have a hard time proving themselves not guilty over this case.

Lives were lost and properties are gone, so tragic that everyone would be experiencing goose bumps just reminiscing that day when Typhoon Ondoy hit our country,resulting to 96 deaths and thousands injured.. Meanwhile, while everyone is busy calling out for help, here is this young Filipino blood who managed to post an out-of-tune shoutout on her Facebook account. Her name is Jacque Bermejo (now Jackie Bermejo)

To quote, this is what her statement is,

“Buti na lng am hir in dubai! Maybe so many sinners back der! Yeah deserving wat hapend!”

The nerve… right?

She added, “ cuz of u dnt understand!!! Judge me sige!!! Kya ala kayong asenso. Even nature now is making statement big time.”

First point:

I typed her statement verbatim because first of all I want to point out that her sentence construction using the English language is not even perfect. Now, what gave her the right to ridicule others? She can’t even express her thoughts using straight English.

Second point:

This Jacque Bermejo (now Jackie Bermejo) is a Filipino! She can’t run away from that reality. Even if she will cover herself with gold and silver, bleach herself to death, or even totally change her looks through the magic of science and technology, she will still have that blood of a Filipino circulating within her.

Third point:

Who is not a sinner here? All of us are! This Jacque Bermejo (now Jackie Bermejo) is even worse.

Hey Jackie, what do you call that thing you just did? Isn’t that a sin?

Fourth point:

Jacque said, “Kya ala kayong asenso”

Yeah, she is in Dubai right now, and so proud to say that she is now “asenso.” Woah!!! Well, well, well, majority of us live a comfortable lifestyle here in our own native land. We didn’t have to leave our family and our own country just to achieve the lifestyle that we desire.

What about you? Who’s with you? You’re nobody there in Dubai. You’re an outcast and if Dubai deports you, you have nowhere else to go. You are a person with no citizenship if Philippines disowns you.

Didn’t you have any relative you got hurt by this disaster? I just hope that none of those 280 dead bodies found is your relative. If so, karma had hit you faster than the lightning.

At around 11 am last night, Jessica Sojo managed to interview Christine Reyes over the phone, updating her situation. Poor Christine Reyes, she was trapped on their rooftop from 1 pm to 11 am along with her family members. Along with the rest of the community in Provident Village Marikina, many are still awaiting to be rescued. Their mansion homes failed to save them. In fact, Christine Reyes' 2-storey home and the rest of her things are now put to waste as they submerged in mud and water.

Meanwhile, mother daughter Jean Garcia and Jennica Garcia are also emotional when Gma News interviewed them over the phone. They as well are trapped in their own home in Commonwealth Quezon City. Hearing Jennica's voice over phone patch, she sounded so helpless and scared.

Witnessing these series of events from these celebrities: Jean Garcia, Jennica Garcia, and Christine Reyes, touched us and taught us the lesson that in mother nature's call for change, no one is above and is exempted, no poor, no celebrity status, no wealth can excuse anyone of us if it His will to make us realize that it is about time to change.

Jay Leno Show: Kanye West Is Sorry

Monday, a day after his disgraceful act at the MTV's Video Music Awards, upstaging Taylor Swift's acceptance speech,Kanye West appeared at the Jay Leno Show to ask for an apology.

Leno asked Kanye West, at what point he realized that what he did was wrong. Then, Kanye responded- at that time when he returned the mic to Taylor Swift. When she didn't keep going, then that was it.

In addition, as I watched his episode of the Jay Leno Show, I see the look of embarrassment in Kanye's face. I knew he was sincere and sorry for his disgraceful act. He said, the last 24 hours was so hard for him, realizing his mistake.

When Leno asked what will his late mother say about this, Kanye West was almost on the verge of crying when he responded. It took him around 20 seconds of silence before he managed to respond.

Finally, he decided to lax himself from the showbiz scene after what happened. He felt guilty for ruining Taylor Swift's important event in her life. He thought that this is the best time to reassess himself, maybe he wasn't really over with what happened to his mom. He said, after his mother's death, he really didn't get a time off.

As you can see, this is the problem with celebrities. They are always impulsive. Then, they will only realize it after the mess has been done. Why don't they just be a little careful of their actions.

It's a good thing that Kanye was able to realize his mistakes as soon as possible. That will save his career. Had he not done that, obviously, the world is against him right now. He better start evaluating his manners. I believe this is not the first time he did a misconduct like this. He is a celebrity; therefore, he should be a good example for others to follow.

Then, it's time for Mtv's Video of the year. The ever classy Beyonce, accepted her award in her elegant sexy red dress. She was thankful of course, recalling the first award she received with her original group, The Destiny's Child. Then, she called Taylor Swift to come out of the stage once again to have her moment.

Seeing the video, I really adored how good a person Beyonce is. She is so mature and her maturity and classy attitude will surely win her more fans, adding to the millions of fans she has right now.

To Taylor Swift, be strong, I salute you for being a strong young lady. You managed to compose yourself even on that awkward moment. Your beauty and personality shined even more when you said, "Can we do this again?" The crowd just loved it. Such a great punchline.

Hypochondriasis: It's all in the mind disease

Hypochondriasis is such an expensive sickness if you really come to think of it. You know why? I think my boyfriend has one. Although, I would like to admit that I myself have the tendency to have hypochondriasis- I'm just fighting it back.

For the past three months now, my boyfriend has been complaining awkward sensation, tremors, and pain (tolerable pain) on his left neck and head. According to him, pain occurs only on certain positions and movements. We've visited two neurologists since then because he feels that his signs are of Occipital Neuralgia.

"What the heck is Occipital Neuralgia," I asked.

Then, he started discussing it like an expert, that, this is a severe intolerable pain that you will feel on your upper neck, just right at the back of your ears. There is no strong documented trend that can explain the underlying cause of this disorder. Surprisingly, when I did my own research, Occipital Neuralgia is so far from what he is experiencing.

Persistent as he is to visit the doctor, I granted his request. I wasn’t surprised when these doctors said that his symptoms are not consistent. At the end his visit to the first doctor, she said it was just a plain and simple stiff neck that he was experiencing. Meanwhile, the doctor said, the symptoms that he is narrating are more of a panic attack. So, she went ahead and gave him xxxx.

I thought when the doctor said it was just a plain and simple stiff neck, my worries are over. I was wrong! Rather, he never stopped researching for the underlying cause of these recurring “tolerable” headaches he was feeling as well as the tremors on his left cheek. He again came up with another sickness; now it’s Trigeminal Neuralgia.

Woah! Not again! This time, instead of sympathizing to his situation, I got irritated. I almost got into a fight with him. Nevertheless, we still went to the doctor; it was his money anyway.

Again, for the second time, the result is the same. However, this time, not only did he get a confirmation that it wasn't Trigeminal Neuralgia, nor it was a Occipital Neuralgia, he received another bonus. This time, he paid the doctor for him to receive another lecture.

The doctor explained, he must have hypochondriasis. She added, people with hypochondriasis want to stay sick (in fact FEEL sick) all the time. If they receive a confirmation that what they are feeling is nothing really serious, they will again find another sickness to associate whatever they're feeling. As simple as stomach ache will have deeper interpretation for hypochondriacs.

Ultimately, I was alarmed when the doctor mentioned that people with hypochondriasis embrace their state of being sick (psychologically) because they want attention. Their lack of activities make them think of all these diseases. I would have to agree with what the doctor said because I find it true to my boyfriend's case.

At the moment he doesn't have a job. Everyday he stays at home and attend to my domestic needs. He is in-charge in organizing our home. Unfortunately, when I get home, I think the attention I give him is not enough. Thus, he is left with nothing but this hi-tech gadget, my laptop. The little knowledge he gets from the internet about these weird diseases made us spent a lot in his quest for answers.

The verdict: I instructed him to find a job, giving him a deadline. I said before the year ends, he must be able to find a new job. This way, he will not get paranoid with the minor involuntary movements of his muscles. At the same time, it will really save us a lot of money.

Let go of that feeling... It's all in the mind, I said.

I Want A New Crib

Today I was so tired. We transferred our stuff to our new home. My boyfriend was trying to save a little cash so we didn't hire any van to transfer our things from the old house to the new house. So, the result is, here I am feeling every inch of my body in pain.

For the longest time I felt and savored the cool breeze as it touches my skin. For four long years, we managed to live in a small studio type with just one window, fronting another wall. As a matter of fact, just today I talked to one of my next-door neighbors. I told her, we are not prisoners but with our present situation here, we are paying them to make ourselves prisoners.

If you live in Manila Philippines you will understand. Getting a good house to rent here is hard. Just yesterday, a timely news on rent control law came. Government is warning landlords to control their pricing. That, they should not have more than 7% increase on their rents per year. In line with this, I just wish that my landlady will not increase her rent after a year because this is a true sacrifice for me. With my new house, I will be paying Php 2,000.00 more per month but that's okay. After all, I work hard to earn money and so I deserve to have a good place to rest after a long and tiring day. Therefore, everything is worth it.

Michael Jackson is certainly the King of Pop. He had entertained all of us with his powerful voice, and high-energy moves. His music will continue to live on- i'm sure. Regardless of gender, generation and culture, people unite in his music. No blacks, no whites say no bad word for his music.

Whatever he did to himself, I'm sure in the eyes of his family, he will always be the young Michael Jackson who will never grow old. He achieved what he wished for. He died young- young looks (not the perfect one though), and young at heart.

May you rest in peace Michael. You will forever be in our hearts.

Cleopatra Stratan is the youngest, most successful singer ever documented. She recorded her first album at the age of three. She was also the youngest singer who have performed for two straight hours in front of a large audience. Although her name isn't in the Guinness Book of World Records yet, I wouldn't be surprised if her name will be printed in there soon.

She was also the youngest artist to receive an award from MTV. In addition, her hit single "Ghita" had topped Romanian Single Chart, again the first 3-year-old to top a country's music billboard.

Another Filipino has once again made us proud to be Pinoy!

An OFW, Mildred Perez, was forced to live on the streets of Hongkong because of a pending case against her abusive employer. Despite her longing for her family, Mildred was left with no choice but to stay; otherwise, her case will be voided.

As a result, Mildred Perez became a garbage collector. Until one afternoon, she found a bag full of money and checks. It amounted to over Php 2,000,000. Without any hesitation, Mildred Perez returned the money to the owner. In return, she was given a can of biscuit. In fact, she was happy to receive this gift because she didn't expect it after all.

Now, her act of good faith reached the Philippines and her province. Nueva Ecija government, Mildred' s hometown, is preparing something for Mildred and her family.

Hopefully, she comes home soon to her family, wins the case against her abusive employer, and reunites with her family that she has been dreading to see.

Cucumber Found in Jobert Sucaldito's Rectum

A well-known TV personality in the Philippines, Jobert Sucaldito was rushed to the emergency room of Capitol Medical Center in Quezon city. A surgery was initiated to remove a cucumber stuck in his rectum. X-Ray results showed that the cucumber was broken piece that measured five inches in length. Doctors on the other hand remained silent over this emergency situation.

Jobert Sucaldito is a talk show host of ABS-CBN' The Buzz. According to an interview with him, he said that he was preparing a salad and accidentally sat on a chair that has a cucumber in an up-right position.

Jobert's helper, another 5-inch cucumber was found in the room (probably the other half of the one stuck in his rectum). Along with that is Johnson's baby oil, pictures of men, and tissue paper were found in the vicinity.

With what happened, a group of vegeterians are said to file a complaint against Sucaldito for abusing the defenseless cucumber. However, there are no final reports on this one yet.

Meanwhile, Sucaldito is now in a safe condition, ready to be discharged from the hospital.

I've watched Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili's public hearing on the said sex scandal. Reporters said that what happened yesterday was like a scene from a box office hit, there was action, drama, and comedy.

Before the hearing started, many employees from the senate were starstrucked, as many celebrities came to show their support to both parties.

Many rallyers also came, connecting their own issues to Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili scandal (so pinoy!). On the other hand, I would like to agree that Gabriella's involvement here is so timely. This is indeed a true example of women rights violation.

News spread that Hayden Kho has 40 sex videos. This sick bastard really deserves to be punished. To be poured with water in a public hearing and the embarrassment he got from this is not enough. He definitely should spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Meanwhile, it is so disturbing to hear the involvement of Vicky Belo on this case. I really hope she is not the mastermind in the distribution of these scandals. She said in her statement, she was looking for a video saved in Hayden's hard-drive. What could that be? Isn't that the video of them doing the act as well? I don't really know. If in case she has one, with her wealth, it's so easy to get rid of it. The fact that she knew who hacked into Hayden's laptop, it's easy to threat them. She can just simply say, if my scandal spreads I know who to look for. She can just simply have them killed... simple. Anyway, this part is just my imagination. Nevertheless, I still believe it was their video together that she was looking for.

Oh well, it's such a shame if she will still accept Hayden Kho even if he comes back to her. I also hope, in case Hayden gets imprisoned, she will not bail him out.

Hayden Kho, a doctor, supposed to be a respected personality because of his profession, has been involved in a series of sex videos. His sex scandal with Katrina Halili had once again awakened woman rights advocates. This is a clear-cut form of abuse towards women; thus, all women who were victimized by Hayden Kho are requested to come out and show this man the consequences of his action. He is such a disgrace in the field of medicine.

If we hear stories about serial killers on the loose, killing women to satisfy their sexual cravings, here comes Hayden Kho, capturing his "sexcapades", through videos, to further fulfill his weird sexual demands.

I pity Vicky Belo for supporting this culprit, despite all the things he did, disrespecting her, she still didn't learn her lesson. Is she also out of her mind? That would be Jamie Pugh with his winning piece "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables. Have you noticed the common thing between the two?
